The Tower Warning
By Alan Odle

January 2015

In January of 2015 I had a dream that I was standing very high in an ancient tower. There were other people with me but I did not see their faces. Because of the height of the tower I could see a great distance. I observed that the wall at the top of the tower had a giant 32 written on it. I could see through the walls to see what was inside the tower. The tower was completely filled with soil from the top to the ground. The soil was very dark brown, almost black.

When I had the time to pray about this and open the Word, I stood in awe and was spiritually shaken by how God revealed the interpretation of the dream. Just like a puzzle, God began laying out the mystery in front of me as He revealed within minutes how each piece fit. The Lord quickly directed me to go to Jeremiah 32. I had no idea what this chapter was about but as I read through it my heart sank. In this chapter, Jeremiah’s most severe prophecy (sudden destruction from the Babylonians) was being fulfilled. “For then the king of Babylon’s army besieged Jerusalem…” (Jeremiah 32:2). “It shall be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence…” (Jeremiah 32:36). The sobering message I received from this dream is that God is applying Jeremiah 32 to our time. This is yet another serious warning about end time war, famine, and pestilence spreading throughout the Earth. These judgments are coming upon us!

After this revelation I began asking the Lord about specific things in the dream. First, I asked about the tower. The Lord explained that it was a watch tower like in 2 Kings 9:17. “When the lookout standing on the tower in Jezreel saw Jehu’s troops approaching, he called out, ‘I see some troops coming. Get a horseman,’ Joram ordered. ‘Send him to meet them and ask, Do you come in peace?” The purpose of the tower was to watch and give warning for approaching war. Then I wondered why the Lord only wrote 32 on the wall instead of Jeremiah 32. Then the Lord spoke and told me to look up the meaning of the name Jeremiah. I discovered that Jeremiah means “Yahweh exalts; Yahweh has uplifted; Yahweh will rise; Elevated.” The ministry of Jeremiah was uplifted and was elevated like a tower for the land. The tower in my dream represents the ministry of the prophets that proclaim truth and give warning.

The Lord spoke to me about many scriptures in Jeremiah 32. Jeremiah gave many prophetic warnings about the invasion of the Babylonians. However, King Zedekiah rejected the warnings and put him in prison. The tower represents the true prophets of our time. They stand for the whole counsel of God and see war, famine, and pestilence coming (Jeremiah 32:24). In the spirit they see clearly from the watch tower, but their message is mostly rejected and placed in a prison of neglect and mockery. As in Jeremiah’s time, the majority of people are absolutely spiritually asleep and can not even imagine a loss of their prolonged peace and safety. Those in the tower can see the attacks coming and are to warn the people in the city. The Lord says that the ministry of Jeremiah will be lifted up again. The mockery will be shattered because war and calamity is the horizon and is coming upon us. Soon many will realize that we are toward the very end of the last days.

We should only speak where God speaks and we should be silent where God is silent. In this dream God did not specify one single country or region. This dream is for the world. It is another warning of a great outbreak of war, famine, and pestilence in the world. God is pouring out His Spirit on any who will truly hear and listen. More and more people are receiving prophecies about the great tribulation, the end of the age, and the return of Jesus Christ through visions and dreams. We are seeing end time prophecies coming together and being fulfilled almost weekly and yet the world and many professing Christians are completely asleep which fulfills another prophecy.

"Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, and saying, 'Where is the promise of His coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation'" (2 Peter 3:3-4). Those that do not truly love the truth and the whole of the counsel of God will not be prepared for what is coming. It will overtake them like a thief in the night. They will reap delusion from God to believe lies and alter or abandon the whole gospel (I Thessalonians 5:1-2; 2 Thessalonians 2:11). But God’s word says, “But you, brothers, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief” (I Thessalonians 5:4).

Lastly, I asked the Lord about the dark soil that filled the tower from top to bottom. He said that it is the dark, rich soil, full of nutrients that holds the water for all of the seeds of the Word of God. “The sower sows the Word. And these are the ones by the wayside where the Word is sown. When they hear, Satan comes immediately and takes away the Word that was sown in their hearts. These likewise are the ones sown on stony ground who, when they hear the Word, immediately receive it with gladness; and they have no root in themselves, and so endure only for a time. Afterward, when tribulation or persecution arises for the Word’s sake, immediately they stumble. Now these are the ones sown among thorns; they are the ones who hear the Word, and the cares of this world, the deceitfulness of riches, and the desires for other things entering in choke the Word, and it becomes unfruitful” (Mark 4:14-19). This dark, rich soil is where the Word of God is embraced and truly loved. It is proclaimed without compromise and those with this soil do not bow to the fear of man. They refuse to be conformed to the image of this world and neither do they embrace idols in their heart. They do not pick and choose scriptures and create their own spirituality or version of the gospel. God is searching the Earth and testing hearts. Who will turn to God with all their heart, love His Word, follow Jesus and walk close to Him? Those that push God aside and refuse to turn to Him with a sincere heart will not see and understand. These people will be spiritually blind in the middle of tribulations and troubles.

“I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see” (Revelations 3:18).

“Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man” (Luke 21:36).
