Prophetic Visions of World War 3

In Acts 2:17-21 the Apostle Peter spoke these words as the Holy Spirit was poured out on the early church, “And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy: And I will shew wonders in heaven above, and signs in the earth beneath; blood, and fire, and vapour of smoke: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come: And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
On December 7, 2011, I got up early to pray and then went to work. At work, I sensed the presence of God as several of us discussed Bible prophecy and the approaching war in the Middle East over Iran’s nuclear program. We were talking about the fact that nearly 2800 years ago the Bible foretold a war between the children of Israel, Persia (Iran), and Syria which results in Damascus, Syria being turned into a heap of ruins in one night (Ezekiel 38 & Isaiah 17). The only logical explanation for this is a nuclear strike by Israel on Damascus. Revelation 9 also speaks of a war that emanates from the region of the Euphrates River that will last for just over 13 months and kill one third of mankind. It is possible that this one third is a reference to where the war takes place and not the entire world, but it very well may end up being 2.3 billion lost in that war. That would be catastrophic and change the world forever. The only way we could see that many fatalities is it would have to be another world war that includes China and nuclear weapons. After reading an article the previous week that stated China has threatened a “third world war” if Iran is attacked, I know the stage is being set to fulfill the most terrifying series of prophecies in the Bible.
As the day went on I began to see a vision in my spirit as I worked. I saw the east and west coasts of the United States being destroyed. Entire cities were burned up and left in ruins. I could not tell if it was a terrorist attack or actually some type of missile strike from Russian or Chinese submarines that part wasn’t clear. But it was a long path of destruction down both of our coasts. I tried to dismiss this vision as just the result of our conversation earlier that morning. However, that evening after my wife and I put our daughter to bed, we decided to read a chapter in a Kenneth E. Hagin book that my wife had been reading entitled I Believe in Visions. I read it many years ago, but had forgotten most of what was in the book. I chose to begin where my wife left her bookmark and began reading aloud.
For those of you who never heard of Kenneth Hagin, he gave his life to Jesus at the age of 17 while bedfast and dying of deformed heart and a blood disorder. And shortly thereafter, he was miraculously healed as a Baptist boy by just believing and acting upon Mark 11:23-24. He started out as a Baptist in 1934 and then got baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues while pastoring a Baptist church. Later, he moved over among the Pentecostals and had powerful ministry that went on seven more decades and touched the world. His teachings on the gifts of the Spirit and the five-fold ministry are the most solid and Biblical that I have come across over the years.
The account below is the section that really jumped out as I read. In fact, the Holy Spirit hit me so hard that I had to hold back tears just to keep reading. This is a powerful vision and prophetic word that God gave Kenneth Hagin during a tent revival meeting he was holding in Rockwall, Texas in 1950. As I read, my wife and I both felt that this prophecy was for now. It also confirmed to me what the Holy Spirit has been showing me the last few years about the judgments that are coming to America and world. As I started writing this message I also realized that God gave me the vision on the 70th Anniversary of the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, the attack that brought America fully into World War II.
Hagin wrote, "About that time, the Holy Spirit came upon me again. It seemed as if a wind was blowing on me, and I fell flat on my face on the platform. As I lay under the power of God, it seemed as if I were standing high on a plain somewhere in space, and I could see for miles and miles around me, just as one can stand on the great plains of the United States and gaze off into the distance for miles. I looked in every direction, but I couldn’t see a sign of life anywhere. There were no trees or grass, no flowers or vegetation of any kind. There were no birds or animals. I felt so lonely. I was not conscious of my earthly surroundings. As I looked to the west, I saw what appeared to be a tiny dot on the horizon. It was the only moving thing I could see. As I watched, it grew larger and came toward me, taking on shape and form. Soon I could see it was a horse. As it came closer I could see a man upon the horse. He was riding toward me at full speed. As he approached, I could see he held the reins of the horse’s bridle in his right hand, and in his left hand, high above his head, he held a scroll of paper. When the horseman reached me, he pulled on the reins and stopped. I stood on his right. He passed the scroll from his left hand to his right hand and handed it to me. As I unrolled the scroll, which was a roll of paper 12 or 14 inches long, he said, “Take and read.” At the top of the page in big, bold, black print were the words “WAR AND DESTRUCTION.” I was struck dumb. He laid his right hand on my head and said, “Read, in the Name of Jesus Christ!” I began to read what was written on the paper, and as the words instructed me, I looked and saw what I had just read about. First I read about thousands upon thousands of men in uniform. Then I looked and saw these men marching, wave after wave of soldiers marching as to war. I looked in the direction they were going, and as far as I could see there were thousands of men marching.
I turned to read the scroll again, and then looked and saw what I had just read about. I saw many women—old women with snowy white hair, middle-aged women, young women, and teenagers. Some of the younger ones held babies in their arms. All of the women were bowed together in sorrow and were weeping profusely. Those who did not carry babies held their hands on their stomachs as they bowed over and wept. Tears flowed from their eyes like water. I looked at the scroll again, and again I looked to see what I had read about. I saw the skyline of a large city. Looking closer, I saw the skyscrapers were burned-out hulls. Portions of the city lay in ruins. It was not written that just one city would be destroyed, burned, and in ruins, but that there would be many such cities destroyed.
The scroll was written in the first person, and seemed as if Jesus Himself were speaking. I read, “America is receiving her last call. Some nations already have received their last call and never will receive another.” Then in larger print it said, “THE TIME OF THE END OF ALL THINGS IS AT HAND.” This statement was repeated four or five times. Jesus also said this was the last great revival. He went on to say, “All the gifts of the Spirit will be in operation in the Church in these last days, and the Church will do greater things than even the Early Church did. It will have greater power, signs, and wonders than were recorded in the Acts of the Apostles.” He said that we have seen and experienced many healings, but we will now behold amazing miracles that have not been seen before. Jesus continued, “More and more miracles will be performed in the last days which are just ahead, for it is time for the gift of the working of miracles to be more in prominence. We now have entered into the era of the miraculous. “Many of My own people will not accept the moving of My Spirit, and will turn back and will not be ready to meet Me at my coming. Many will be deceived by false prophets and miracles of satanic origin. But follow the Word of God, the Spirit of God, and Me, and you will not be deceived. I am gathering My own together and am preparing them, for the time is short.”
The Lord Jesus told Brother Hagin that the Church would experience great healings and amazing miracles and sure enough it came to pass. Over the next seven years after his vision, the Church saw some of the greatest healing revivalists and healing meetings of all time. People like A.A. Allen, Jack Coe, Oral Roberts, T.L. Osborn and Kenneth E. Hagin saw an outpouring of healing and great miracles in their meetings. In an A.A. Allen meeting in Birmingham, Alabama in 1955 everyone in a ten thousand seat tent got healed. This included wheelchair and stretcher sections that were full of dying and crippled people.
God went on to pour out His Spirit through the sixties, seventies and eighties in what was called the “Jesus Movement” and then the “Charismatic Renewal.” During this time millions were born again and baptized in the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in tongues. Great revivals broke out in various places like Asbury Theological Seminary, Indonesia, Africa and South, Central and North America like the great Argentine Revival of the 1980s and the Brownsville Revival of the 1990s. These events made the Pentecostal/ Charismatic movement the fastest growing segment of the church for an entire century even though many of God’s people in traditional denominational churches rejected the Biblical truths of the gifts of the Holy Spirit and God’s last day outpouring.
Not only was God’s Spirit poured out in a new way, but just as Brother Hagin was told in his vision, we have also seen the rise of false prophets and demonic miracles and manifestations over the last several decades within the Church of Jesus Christ. The Church has entered the era of deception and apostasy that Jesus and His apostles foretold would lead to the rise of the Antichrist and his great false prophet (see Matthew 24 & Rev. 13 & 2 Thess. 2), The deception stretches throughout the Church from Roman Catholicism with its many demonic miracles and apparitions of Mary to the “contemplative mysticism” of eastern religions and New Age practices that have invaded big Charismatic and Evangelical ministries in America and across the world.
The Bible tells us not to quench the Spirit or despise prophesying, but to prove all things and hold fast to that which is good (1 Thess. 5:19-21). It is interesting to note that the context of these verses in 1 Thessalonians 5 is all about the end times and the second coming of Jesus Christ. Prophetic words or visions about the end or terrible things like nuclear war are hard to hear or accept, but the Bible has much to say about the events that will precede the rapture, and the second coming of Jesus. The Apostle Peter gave us a warning about the earth being destroyed by intense fire and how we should respond, “But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up. Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness” (2 Peter 3).
This passage means that many will be caught by surprise by an intense heat and the earth being burned up. You see, too many people think they have plenty of time to get right with God before the end comes or before they die, but they don’t realize that they might be gone in a moment when they were not ready. And too many people think they are ready when they are not. They have believed lies and deceptive teachings that have given them a false sense of security. Many go to church and say they “believe” in Jesus, yet they have not turned from sin and worldliness and made Jesus Christ the total Lord of their lives. They go through the motions and lie to themselves.
I shudder to think of the millions of people who will be caught off guard when the bombs start hitting. They will be just like the people who got up and went to work at the World Trade Center on the morning of September 11, 2001 with no idea that would be their last day alive on this earth. Some reading this may laugh, mock, or be dismissive, but every prophecy in the Bible WILL happen. Some will wake up and turn to Christ before it is too late. Others will survive the war and economic collapse and finally give up their sin to follow Jesus. Many of those Christians will face the mark of the Beast and refuse to submit to Satan’s man. They will end up martyrs for Jesus. But many others will die thinking they had plenty of time to get right with God. Sadly, the majority will see these terrible prophetic fulfillments and continue to rebel against God and His holy commandments (Rev. 9). They will continue in drunkenness, sexual lusts, idolatry, homosexuality, drugs, and unbelief. They will go into the last seven years, be deceived by the Antichrist and his message of peace. They will take his mark in their hands or forehead and pledge allegiance to him and his world government. That will seal their fate and they will wind up eternally damned in hell for worshiping the Beast and his image (Rev. 13 & 14). Don’t let that be you. Get ready now by turning to Jesus Christ: He is the only way to eternal life in heaven.
